⭐Here are some considerations when onboarding new clients:⭐

- Firstly have an onboarding call with your client to discuss tasks and working schedule.

- Agree hours, days and times of work or deadlines for project work.

- Ensure you have access to all systems required to enable you to carry out your tasks efficiently.

- Agree a communications channel and turnaround time for responses.

- Formalise the above in a client onboarding form/pack and send this information along with your contact details and t&c's for your client to review.

- Get to work!

The better your on-boarding process, the easier it is to manage your client and set clear expectations and boundaries. It's a good idea to set a formal follow up to review how this is working shortly after you start working with your client (1-2 weeks).

💁‍♀️Do you have an onboarding process for your new clients?

I'm a VA and my laptop is my life! However I always seem to have lots of other items cluttering up my desk!

Here are a few tips to keeping your workspace organised 💻.

📚1. Your desk is for essential items only. Try not to clutter your desk with piles of paperwork, files and post it notes. I find it so much easier to have a seperate notepad/file for each client and one for my Admin Guru business development. These are now organised neatly on a shelf above my desk so I can pick out which client file I am working on and still have plenty of room on my desk.

⏰2. Tidy your desk and leave it clear at the end of each day ready for a fresh start the following morning. It's such a pain to have to start clearing your desk and looking for things before you have even started.

💺3. Comfy chair and adequate lighting. Whether your work area is at your kitchen table or you have a home office set up, a suitable chair is a MUST HAVE. We VA's spend hours sat at our laptops and it's not fun when you have back ache because you don't have the right chair! Lighting is also very important to avoid eye strain and headaches.

Efficiency is a skill and takes practice; here are some tips I use to try and stay as efficient as possible...

Create a plan each day and follow it!

Block out time in your calendar for each task and allow scheduled time for breaks each day.

Go to bed at a reasonable time and get up early, our brains work the best in the morning so it's a great time to get those more

complicated tasks out of the way.

Try not to get distracted by your phone, you can check your DM's during your scheduled break time 😉 .

What do you already do to stay efficient?
